About

There are no words that can explain how grateful we are for you. Regardless of whether you choose us, we are so thankful you have taken the time to consider giving us the opportunity to become parents; we know this is probably one of the biggest decisions in your life.

Years of unexplained infertility and miscarriage has us realizing the love and excitement for growing our family will need to come from a brave and generous person like you.

We cannot even begin to understand what you must be going through, but what we can do is make several promises to you, should you choose our family.

We promise to raise them to be proud of who they are and where they come from.

We promise to encourage them to find passion and learn what makes them happy and fulfilled.

We promise to be there for them, especially when they need it most.

We promise to celebrate their accomplishments, no matter how big or small.

We promise to always have adventures with them and always create memories.

Last but not least, we promise to love your baby unconditionally and as our own.

Thank you for your brave and loving choice. If you choose us to be your baby's parents, we will be at every practice, game and/or recital, there will always be a dog at the foot of their bed, and the opportunity to explore and adventure, dream, or passion.

Where we are both from the Pacific Northwest and we met while we were living in Las Vegas. Our first date included a Tapas restaurant, the Beatles Love Cirque du Soleil show, and a walk down the Vegas Strip. Our first kiss was in front of the famous Bellagio Fountains. After that we were nearly inseparable! Within the first few months we hiked Canyons in Utah, beaches in San Diego and Pyramids in Mexico, always hand in hand. Our passion for the world and each other became stronger and stronger and our common philosophies on life, family and future bonded us together.

After about a year of dating we knew we had found 'the one.' Eddie had asked me out on a date one random Wednesday night after work. He said let's just get dressed up and go out. Not thinking much of it I quickly agreed. Eddie has always been quite spontaneous and romantic so this really wasn't out of the ordinary. When I arrived at his place after work to him patiently waiting by a limo with champagne, I knew this was going to be a night to remember ... and oh was it! He had arranged to have dinner at the Eiffel Tower restaurant. After getting settled into our seats I couldn't help but notice the most amazing view of the Bellagio fountains where we had our first kiss. When the music started playing and fountains started blasting away I looked over to Eddie who was on one knee with the most beautiful ring in his hand. Although I had a feeling it was coming, it was one of the happiest moments in my life.

We chose to elope in Cabo, Mexico at the Secrets resort. We exchanged our vows on the beach in Mexico in a very intimate special ceremony. It was the most wonderful day in the most beautiful place. We threw a large reception a few months later so that our friends and family could come and celebrate. It's hard to believe that we have been married over 5 years now!

Eddie is a very patient, caring, and loving person. He is hardworking and dependable. I really admire his fun-loving and carefree attitude. His love for history gives him the desire to seek adventure and see the world every chance he gets.

Eddie loves kids! He is definitely a favorite amongst our friends' children. He's also a favorite with our friends who are parents because he will play with them until they are seriously worn out, but also the first to lend a helping hand. Eddie is going to be an amazing dedicated father. He will be patient and encouraging. I know he is going to be very involved in all aspects of parenting, even changing diapers and night time feedings! Education is a passion of his so he is really looking forward to teaching lessons and getting our child excited about learning.

Eddie manages a sales team at a medical device company. Eddie loves his job and his management role allows him to be a mentor and share his knowledge with his team and
help them grow their careers. He has a very flexible schedule mostly working in his home office. He plans to be a very involved parent and hopefully be able to coach our childs team(s) someday.

Aubrey's heart is huge; she loves 100% because she doesn't know another way. She balances strong structure and order with her funny jokes and quick wit; she keeps perspective on what is really important and protects those she holds close. Most of all she forgives easily and sees all mistakes and opportunities to learn.

Aubrey is great with kids. We have a nephew and several close friends with young children that call her Aunt Aubrey. She is always happy to play with them, feed them, and change them. When she is not with our nephew she is planning when she will be with him next. Aubrey is a passionate person that goes all in. I know she will be an involved mother who is always keeping up with all of the needs of our family. Whether it is making sure shots and dentist appointments are up to date or fostering a budding passion for music or sports, Aubrey will be the mother that creates a lot of positive structure but still
leaves room for a child to grow and learn for themselves who they wish to become.

It's really hard for me to describe Aubrey fully so that someone that has never met her
would understand how great a wife she is, mother she will be and overall incredible
person that she has become. She brings light to every room, creativity to everything
she does and makes, and happiness to every life she touches. I am lucky to have her as my wife and any child would be lottery winner to get her as a mother. Aubrey is currently an Account Manager for a medical company but plans to be a stay at home mom as soon as we welcome a baby into our family.

We both have a passion for travel and adventure. We are always planning the next trip, and sometimes looking forward to the trip is almost as fun as the trip itself. Cabo is our favorite place to go frequently since we got married there, so we try and go as often as possible to escape the Seattle rain and enjoy the sunshine, water, and delicious food. When we aren't planning the next adventure, we enjoy spending time outdoors hiking, golfing, going to the lake, and having BBQ's at our house. In the evening, we like to relax and unwind, play cards, read, cook dinner, and maybe watch some TV. We love to play cards in the summertime on our deck or go out to the fire pit in the back yard to make Smores. Gin Rummy is our favorite card game to play together; we like to keep an ongoing score card throughout the summer and it can get quite competitive, household chores and errands have been known to be at stake!

Our favorite TV show to watch together is Game of Thrones. We also love to watch the Cooking Channel on Saturday mornings and Aubrey is never scared to try and replicate the dishes she sees with her own personal spin.

We have two dogs that we adore. Tika, an older Chihuahua mix, and Hawk, a beagle. We enjoy taking them with us as much as possible. Tika is less than interested in much but she interacts well with our nephew.  Hawk is great with everyone, and kids are no exception as he sees them as someone else that may drop a crumb! We love our dogs and agree that having a canine companion in the house to grow up with is a must.

Aubrey's  father,  Michael  and  stepmother, Benita live  close  to  us and  are very involved  in our  lives. We celebrate  many  holidays  with  them.  Benita is the ultimate host  who  reminds many people  of the perfect  TV Grandma and Michael loves to cook so holidays  are always a very special and delicious  experience. They both absolutely love being grandparents.

Aubrey's  mother, Susan, and  stepfather, Ron, live  in Nevada part  time  and as of recently come  to Washington  frequently to  help  Aubrey's  sister  take  care of our nephew.  Ron and Susan are two  very memorable people  full  of love and life  and make  sure there  is never a dull  moment. We try and celebrate Thanksgiving with Aubrey's  mom  most years as it is her favorite  holiday.  It's  always a very special day no matter  the location. The holiday  isn't  just about  the  meal, we really  make the  day about  reflecting on our  blessings  and expressing our  love and appreciation for  one another.  We have a tradition after  prayer  to  go around the table and talk about  what we are thankful for the past year.

Aubrey's  sister,  Thera,  is married  to  Adam  and  they  have one  son, Lane (1).  Thera  and Adam  are very  fun,  caring  people.  We share  several of  our  friends with  Thera  and  Adam and they live only 20 minutes  away so we see them a lot. Thera and Aubrey are only a little over a year apart so they are very close and Adam and Eddie enjoy going  to Baseball games together   and  will  be  playing   on  a softball team  together   in  the  spring.  We are  Lane's Godparents  and take that role  seriously  as we are sure Adam and Thera will  take the same role seriously when they are our child's  Godparents.

Eddie's mother, Terri,  lives in Denver. She works  as an executive  assistant  by day and owns a gym at night.  She loves children a lot  and has been eager to see our family  expand.

Jeff was Eddie's Stepfather  growing up and they are still very close. Jeff lives about  20 minutes  away with  his wife and Stepdaughter Zirou (18) who is in college. Eddie followed in the footsteps of his father (also Eddie) in Sales and he often goes to him for help perfecting his craft and avoiding common pitfalls.

Eddie’s grandfather (yet another ‘Eddie’) lives in Southern California and is an inspiration to the whole family of what a moral, family oriented/ family-first, loving patriarch should be, and what Eddie aspires to be

Kevin and  Alex  are Eddie's  much  younger  half  brothers. Kevin and Eddie are pretty  close despite  their  age  difference. Kevin  was  an  elite  soccer  player  who still  referees  soccer tournaments  in  the  summer  and  works  a sales  position since  graduating from  college, while  Alex  lives  outside   of  Malibu,   CA  and attends   college  on  a  soccer  and  academic scholarship. Kevin talks  about  being an uncle  all the  time  and he is going  to  be the  'cool uncle'  who does a lot spoiling and gift  giving  for sure.

Our families  are both  thrilled that  we are planning to  adopt!  On Eddie's  side, this  will  be the first  grandchild and the family  is excited  to accept and spoil a new family  member!

Thanksgiving is Aubrey's mother's favorite holiday, she loves it a lot and wants nothing more than to spend it with her family. There is always a very large feast and nighttime classic movie with salted and buttered popcorn. Christmas Eve is normally spent with Aubrey's dad and Eddie's family has been known to join in. Typically, there are a lot games on and a big meal followed by the traditional kid-friendly White Elephant Bingo.

Easter is spent at Aubrey's father's house where all the kids get together for a big Easter egg hunt on their property. Aubrey's father, Mike, makes sure the ham and other meats are perfect and Benita makes sure to greet you at the door with her family-famous cinnamon rolls.

Camping was always a fun tradition growing up and we plan on continuing that with our children.

Our favorite of all family traditions is unquestionably the summer lake house getaway. Aubrey's Dad's family has a lake house that has been in the family since the early 1920's. All the kids have memories growing up at this house and that will continue to be the case for many generations to come. Once a year we drive the 4 hours out to the house and meet up with at least 4 generations of kin. Dozens of family members playing games, water skiing, swimming, talking, watching funny home videos from their parents or grandparents' childhoods, and eating ... and boy do we eat, Mike made a custom outdoor oven for the house that makes the most tender meat that is always a highlight. Aubrey's cousin Kelly is a English teacher and is always there with her adopted son Kevin. He is the oldest of the youngest generation and leads movement towards water sports every time.

We live in a 4-bedroom 3-bathroom, split level house with a bonus room and office in the basement. The house was built in the 1960's and we have remodeled nearly every square inch to make it ours. The backyard is very large with plenty of room for a swing set or sandbox someday. We live on a pretty quiet road across from a very well-kept park that has basketball and tennis courts, swings and monkey bars.

We live on the West Coast in a very diverse city. We live minutes away from 2 large cities so we have pretty much anything you could think of. In the winter the main street turns
into "snowflake lane" with parades, a band and fake snow that create a magical winter wonderland experience. There is also an ice skating rink in a local park. We love taking advantage of the hiking trails, lakes, and outdoor activities. We have beautiful theaters to see plays, musicals as well as major sports venues to watch sporting events. We value education and are blessed to live in the best school district in the state and the best elementary school in the state is only a couple blocks away. It's a great place for families!

We would  like  to  live  on the waterfront here in Washington  but don't want to sacrifice  our proximity to family.  In the future, we would love  to  do  a  family  road  trip   to western America's monuments  (Mount   Rushmore, Yellowstone   Park, etc.). The travel   bug   is engrained   in us and every  member   of  our family will always  have  a valid  passport   so we can go on adventures  together!

Faith  can  be  a strong  moral compass for  a family   and  we  want   to   teach  and   model strong  values and morals.  We plan  to teach our children honesty and integrity among  all things.  We strongly   believe  to  live  a happy life is being  confident to  be your authentic self  as well  as being  caring and empathetic towards  others.  We also  want  them  to  be a good citizen and a great friend.

We are excited to add to our
family and our adventures. We
see adoption as an unselfish act
that will give us the greatest gift
of our lives and we will always be
very open about that feeling with
our child.

We plan on being open and
honest about the adoption from
the very beginning. We will
remind them that we are so
lucky their birth parents were so
loving and generous, because
without them we wouldn't have a
child so wonderful to love. We
can never repay the selfless act
of birth parents, but we can
always teach why selflessness
and unconditional love can
create such happiness for so

many people.

We are so excited to become
parents and start a family! As the
planners that we are, we have
prepared our home, finances,
work and life, all to be ready to
take on this moment the best
possible way we think we know
how. We believe that we will
provide the most loving,
encouraging home that will
foster passion, education, and
happiness; there is nothing we
dream of more than to do that
for a child.

With Love,
